My very first beach experience in Nova Scotia was Hirtle's. But now that i actually live here i've been neglecting my old friend a bit. You see, i live on the west side of the river and Hirtle's is on the east. I am blessed to have so many other options on my side that i've been defaulting to other beaches, but Hirtle's is still my favorite. Probably always will be.
Thursday was the first almost spring-like day of the year and the beach was free and generous with its richness of diversity. A "quick visit" soon became a 3-hour tour. It's a hard place to leave...especially once you get there.
