February days are short and cold, but winter's grip is growing old...
There is surely more winter to come, but the darkness is receding and its icy hold is beginning to develop cracks.
These past few days hints of spring have flirted with the land. The air has warmed and the robins have returned to my backyard in sudden and massing number.
Out in the swampy back forty the ice is slowly melting and through its glistening crystalline cover spirits and sprites are emerging.
Now i must tell of the flight of the King...Regifugium!
Is it too soon to begin preparing the way for the Queen of the May?
Perhaps...but her handmaidens are waiting...
