Risser's Rising

I return with my camera time and again to the same local beaches. They change remarkably even from day to day, the next tide removing and reshaping the landscape set in sand by the last. So the subjects of my lens always seem fresh to me. Old elements are washed away while new are deposited, incidental passengers on the continuous, rhythmic surf. But new seasons bring even greater changes than the passing of mere days.
Risser's Beach is no exception. As the coastline shakes off its wintery chill and the ice and snow melt into rivulets of aqueous deliquesce, old friends return to their familiar habitats and the cycles of life sally forth on their constant journey towards eternity. Even the stoic rocks have changed somewhat, as formation collapse and reconfigure, and wind and wave etch even deeper the time-worn grooves on the weathered faces of ancient standing stone.
Arise Lady Sunshine, for spring has sprung!
