Weeding Between the Lines

A study on a theme. Weeping weeds wrap the rocky shore, playing hide-and-seek with stones and tidal pools.
There are so many varieties of seaweed in Nova Scotia and i find them all rather fascinating. I believe the variety featured here is called Ascophyllum nodosum, also known as feamainn bhuí, rockweed, Norwegian kelp, knotted kelp, knotted wrack or egg wrack. It is one of my favorites. I love the way it clings to the rocks and dances with the tide, flowing gracefully as the water ebbs and flows.
