A walk to the beach...

So on Friday we decided to test our beach proximity and take a walk down to Risser's. We are about a five minute car ride to five different beaches, but walking is another issue all together.
We took a longcut through Drew's Hill and made about a three hour hike of it. Obviously we took our time.
Autumn is in full swing. The air is brisk and the smell of the salt and sea and decaying leaves carry on the chilly, but forgiving wind.
The Oak King is dying, the Holly King takes his throne...
It's remarkable the diversity of subject matter that presents itself walking through the hood.
