Coastal Color

I have returned, as promised, to the color filled world of Nova Scotia. Each subject demands its own treatment, but for the most part, as much as i enjoy the mood and emotion that black & white brings to an image, it is simply impossible to ignore the fantastic color scheme of Nova Scotia at peak Summer for very long. These are more images from our Hirtle's Beach/Gaff Point tour rendered in their full and glorious color. I am always amazed at how many varied and interesting images i can find on just a single day's hike along the point trail. We had a brilliant day for our wanderings, bright blue, sunny skies and perfectly comfortable temperatures. If only my lenses were capable of conveying the amazing mixture of scents that surrounded us, from the salt and brine of the sea to the floral and earthy fragrance up on the cliffs, all carried along on a fresh, clean ocean breeze. The aroma was truly intoxicating.
